Greetings in the name of Jesus.
We had a couple events this week that are with noting in the Bloor Central world. First of all Ben Kershaw had all Ben Kershaw had a birthday this week. Cha cha cha to you Ben and we hope you have many more birthdays with us at Bloor Central. Also this week Jessica Comeau officially graduated from College and then started her new job the very next day. We are so proud of Jessica and we want to wish her ever blessing as she enters this new season of her life.
It does appear we are moving closer to opening up as the covid restrictions ease. Even though we are not fully open we are grateful for the opportunity to gather on Sundays. We would continue to encourage anyone who has an underlying health concern, or has not been vacinated to not attend services until they are confident they will be safe. Our teaching will continue to be posted on our youtube station as a livestream at 10am on Sundays and then posted on youtube. We will not be continuing the Zoom call after the livestream but the teaching is still available to anyone who has access to the internet. “Sunday Word” is up and running and is what we call a “socially distanced Bible study”. We meet at Bloor Central Sundays at 10am. Doors open at 9:50 and everyone is required to follow the protocols required by the public health.
This week we will be exploring a parable from Luke 14. This is not a new parable for us at Bloor Central, we are very familiar with the feast that Jesus speaks about. One amazing fact I’ve found in scripture, and this includes Luke 14 is that no matter how familiar you are with a scripture you can keep coming back to it and discover new applications for our lives. As we move closer towards a post-covid world I’m confident this story that Jesus tells offers us valuable lessons. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
