Link #83 - You can be a star this Christmas.

Greetings in the name of Jesus.

We want to keep everyone up to date with whats going on at Bloor Central. It is the time of year that things are moving very quickly so it is easy to fall behind. Last Sunday night we had a great time of Christmas caroling at Dovercourt Park. It was a lot of fun and we have to send a great big thank you out to Norm Garcia who provided the music. This week we also completed our toy distribution to over 150 families providing them with Christmas presents for their children.

Now we enter the last full weekend before Christmas. Obviously that means we will be having our Community Dinner (7 ate 9) tomorrow (December 17) from 4 - 6:30pm. Please not this is the last Community Dinner for 2020 and we are closed on December 24 and 31. Our first 7 at 9 for 2023 will be on JAUARY 7. The reason we close the week before and after Christmas is because we have our Christmas Party on Christmas Day. That is on December 25 from 12 - 3pm. Everyone knows our Christmas parties are a big deal. This year we have carol singing, games, music, photo booth, karaoke and a full turkey dinner. This party is open for everyone so if you don’t have any plans for the day make sure to be here - even if you do have plans you are still invited to drop by.

Ok, back to this weekend. On Sunday we will have the last SUNDAY WORD for 2022. That is right, because of the party we won’t be meeting for SUNDAY WORD on Christmas Day. As we gather this week for the last time before Christmas we’ll look at what it means for you to be a star this Christmas. As a matter of fact, we need you to be a star this Christmas! I sure hope you can join us this Sunday at 10am.

On Sunday night we have the return of another Bloor Central legend. We are meeting at Bloor Central (789 Dovercourt) at 6pm for “BLOORSTOCK 2022”. This is a Christmas celebration of Bloor Central Music. It is our last opportunity to sing Christmas carols together this year, as well as enjoy some of the Bloor Central talent and share some refreshments after.

Yes, things are definitely moving fast. The last thing I need to mention is our Christmas Kettles. Next week is the last week we have to try and reach our goal of $30,000. If you have any time available to be at a Kettle stand for us please let us know. Along with all the ministry of the season we also have to raise funds for the Food Center in 2023.

Buckle up everyone! Welcome to Christmas 2022.
