Greetings in the name of Jesus.

As we move into December we see ministry at Bloor kicking into high gear. First of all this time of year is an important time for us to be raising funding. It is wonderful that the public is so willing to support our work in the community but it does require us to be getting volunteers out to stand on the “Kettles”. If you have some time to offer us please call the Church (416-531-8031 ex. 105) to let us know.

Tomorrow night we are gathering for a meal together - we call it “7 ate 9” (789 Dovercourt). We eat between 4-6 pm and everyone is invited. Tomorrow we start with a red pepper soup and then the entre is meatloaf with mashed potatoes as well as vegetables cooked in a garlic oil. It is going to be great and you are welcome to come and enjoy the fellowship.

Many of us at the Church have been praying for Terry Bergeron as he mourns the loss of his son. Terry wanted me to let everyone know that there is a time of visitation at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home, Saturday from 2-4pm. It is located at 1939 Lawrence Avenue East. Please continue to remember Terry and his family at this difficult time.

This Sunday we will be bringing our study of the Beatitudes to a conclusion. We’ve been going through this passage for the past 12 weeks (Matthew 5:3-10). As we review it this week we are really looking forward to observations you have made as you’ve joined with us. Has there been a specific verse you’ve noticed that has been particularly meaningful to you? We’d always encourage you to come on Sunday prepared to share. Share in thanksgiving, sharing in your reflections on the scripture, share your questions, share in the giving. Lets share life together. We look forward to seeing you Sunday at 10am.
