Link #28
Greetings in the name of Jesus.
Two issues I’d want to remind you of this weekend. First of all, Bloor Central continues to show up. Although Covid-19 continues to spread we’ve not had a “direct hit” at Bloor Central. This weekend we push ahead with our community meal on Saturday night and our food center offers emergency food on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We continue to gather for SUNDAY WORD at 789 Dovercourt at 10am each Sunday. Our humble gatherings each Sunday have been very encouraging as we focus on seeking God. If we do run into a situation where we are unable to open due to the pandemic we will depend on the Bloor Central Link to inform everyone. So keep your eyes open for the Link.
We are excited that our 24/7 prayer room is functional. There are still a few details we’d like to set up but we are ready to open the room. The bad news is that Covid'-19 won’t let us. Due to the health protocols we cannot open the room up fully quite yet. Please just know we look forward to introducing all of you to this addition to life at Bloor Central and we plan for it to become very much a part of our culture. We are not planning that the room will be manned 24/7 (as we’ve done in some of our previous campaigns), but it will be a room set asside for seeking God in prayer 24/7. In the coming weeks we’ll be getting information up on the website concerning how the room will function.
This Sunday January 16 at SUNDAY WORD we have planned a Bible lesson that speaks very much into our world in 2022. The global pandemic means that literally everyone in the world has been affected by COVID. It is like we are all in a storm, and nobody knows how long it will last. Scripture speaks a lot about storms and this week we look at a passage that teaches us a powerful truth about storms that can give us guidance and courage to face whatever storm we find. Even COVID.
Look forward to seeing you Sunday. If you can’t attend the service, the bible teaching will be our youtube channel.
Blessings to all.
