Link #217 - Christmas Eve Edition
Karen and I would like to offer you every blessing of a Christ filled Christmas!
As we get ready for all the celebrations of the next couple days I wanted to send out a note. With all of the excitement of this time of year it is easy for us to lose touch with each other as to what is going on. I list our schedule below that gives you information on all that is going on through the season into 2025.
Obviously the big news is our Christmas Party on Christmas Day, 11:30am till 3pm. Please pray for this, our biggest event of the year. It is a wonderful opportunity to share the joy of Christmas with others that might not have a place to go. Catherine is getting together another beautiful dinner, Greg is getting the volunteers organized, all while we finish off with the Christmas Kettle campaign today. December 24 really is one of the busiest of the year.
I’d also like to highlight the next two Sundays as Jahred Warkentin will be leading SUNDAY WORD. Jahred is a great communicator and his messages are always worthwhile. Karen and I are on our way to Victoria to spend New Years with our family. We will be back in the office January 9.
Lastly I have to share some unfortunate news this Christmas eve. My dear friend - and a good friend of Bloor Central - Pastor Arc da Silva passed away on Sunday. Arc was the very first Pastor I met from the area back in 2006 and we worked on many different events and programs over the last 19 years. I’m going to miss his support, and his sense of humor. We would often laugh together about our theological differences while we could celebrate our common commitment to Jesus. I will pass on information about his funeral when I get news.
