Link #179 - VOLUNTEER SUNDAY

Greetings in the name of Jesus.

Every weekend at Bloor Central is exciting but there are a few events that really bring it to a new level - like Volunteer Sunday. Each year we put aside one week to express our appreciation to our volunteers and we hope you will make a special effort to be there. It is not simply about thanking them, we also want to get to know them better - and have them get to know us. So after our service we will be joining together for a BBQ. As you probably know we just love having visitors at 789 Dovercourt and this weekend often turns out to be when we get the most visitors of the year - so it is a big deal. We look forward to seeing you at SUNDAY WORD at 10am.

Speaking of our volunteers … they will again be working together to prepare a Community Dinner for Saturday evening. This is the biggest event of a Bloor Central week where we invite our neighborhood to come and share a meal with us. You are most welcome to come and share a meal with us and see some friends you have not yet met.

One quick reminder is that we have scheduled our annual trip to Jacksons Point for July 20. Unfortunately costs have gone up considerably. If you need to book a seat on the bus this year it will cost $20 (that also includes a BBQ lunch up at the camp). If you arrange your own transportation and will join us for the BBQ it will be $10. We will start taking names for the trip in June.
